fun wedding weekend

Last weekend I went up to Dallas to host a wedding shower for my cousin Andrea, who is getting married in June (in Puerto Rico, can't wait!). We had a great time and she got lots of fun stuff :)

I was also able to get together with my bestest high schol girlfriends for a bachelorette party for Kayla. Marci flew in from DC, Kayla came from Midland and we all stayed at Laura's in Dallas. It was so good to see them and we had a blast...miss you girls already!

Cam turned the big 2-6 yesterday! We celebrated this past weekend with his parents and last night at Buca di Bepo with Hollie and Bernie. I slacked on the picture taking this week, but hopefully next week I will have pictures of the new deck progress (Cam's next big project to tackle)!

Florida, yay!

We leave tomorrow to visit our friends Michael and Katie in Boca Raton, Florida. We are super excited to see them, see the beach and take a little break from the real world for a bit. I'll post some pics next week. Have a great weekend!

new landscape

We have spent so much time working on the inside of the house and had yet to find much time for the yard until now. We spent this past weekend aerating, planting grass seed, creating beds around the trees, planting shrubs, putting out mulch, putting in landscape rocks and SWEATING! Here are some before and afters...














Much better, now if the grass will just hurry up and grow!

Camden's brother Forrest is moving to Meadville, Pennsylvania today to take a job as a landman. He is excited about the new opportunity and we are excited for him. We had a goodbye dinner last night...

Atlanta

Hi! I spent the past few days in Atlanta for the National Propane Gas Association Southeastern Show. Everything went well, but the turnout was low. The tornado that hit Atlanta a couple weeks ago did a substantial amount of damage to the World Congress Center where the show is held and I think a lot of people decided not to come when it was unknown if the show would go on. Here are a couple pics of damage...this is right outside where the show was held...
