cooler weather + new patio = happy markley's

It's been awhile since we've tackled a house/yard project...been busy working on this little project named Pax :)

We laid quite a bit of sod last year and again this year, but we had an area of the backyard that was still lacking much of anything and decided it would be the perfect place for a little patio. When we started, Cam was 99% convinced he could do it all himself. As the temperatures soared to 112 and the work seemed unending, that percentage started to dwindle.

So, here are some before pics, after Cam leveled it all out:

Then we roped Uncle Evan into helping haul 10, 964 pounds (my estimate) of stone from the front to the back:

 Then, Cam started laying the border rocks:

Then, we made an (extremely smart) executive decision to call someone to help. Meet Alfredo, the best thing to happen to us since we started this project.

He finished up in 3 days and voila, awesome patio!
